ONIC wins prestigious award from Bank of America
 
Just before the holidays, ONIC was named a Neighborhood Builder™ by Bank of America in its Neighborhood Excellence Initiative awards program in Orlando. These awards recognize and reward individuals and organizations that are making a difference in the Orlando community.
The Neighborhood Builder™ award is given to two local non-profit organizations each year that have actively worked to improve their communities. Recipients receive $200,000 of "unrestricted" grant funding over the course of two years, which can be used to cover operating expenses and build program capacity. ONIC recognized as a Champion of Sustainability
 
ONIC was recognized as a Champion of Sustainability at the 3rd Annual Champions of Sustainability Awards Luncheon held on April 21, 2005. The Healthy Community Initiative of Greater Orlando with sponsoring partner MSCW presented awards to nine organizations and individuals at the event. ONIC was honored for building sustainability through economic leadership for its work to help build an economy that supports a place where all people can flourish.

ONIC wins grant from Disney's Helping Kids Shine Grants Program…
 
On April 7, 2005 ONIC received a $7,000 grant from the Walt Disney Helping Kids Shine Grants Program. The goal of the program is to “engage children in society by creating healthy, guiding relationships with grown-ups, providing free time activities, offering character-building opportunities, and encouraging a sense of compassion for others while helping those children who face adversity.”

ONIC will use the grant for its youth programs.

Al Weiss, President of Walt Disney World, presented the award to ONIC Chairman Aida Martin and Resident Services Director Alexis Collins at a ceremony at the Magic Kingdom. Thirty five other Central Florida agencies also received grants.

Cityview wins prestigious award from the National Association of Home Builders.
 
On April 5, 2005 the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) honored the “best of the best” in the multifamily housing industry with its Pillars of the Industry Awards, presented in conjunction with its annual conference for apartment and condo developers, owners, and managers. Considered the most prestigious national awards in the industry, the Pillars Awards honor excellence in apartment and condo design, development, marketing and management, and are looked to by the industry and the media as a showcase of future trends and innovation in multifamily housing.
 

City View at Hughes Square received the award for “Most Creative Financing of an Apartment Community.”

City View was also a finalist in the category of “Best Overall Sales or Leasing Campaign for a Multifamily Community.”

Two projects at Celebration also won awards.
